The Show

Chali Kahani: The Forces

Our story begins with an introduction of the four forces: Wind, Fire, Earth and Water.

Blues in the Breeze

Feel the cool and pleasant breeze on this strings-driven journey. Performed in Tamil folk driven blues.

Kites

Former lovers cross paths - they are carried away by a gust of emotions from the memories of a shared past. They reminisce on life’s fleeting moments in a brief encounter.

Zephyr

When it is mild, it’s cooling breath is a welcome force on a hot day. But as the wind picks up speed, the gale whirls into a monstrous life of its own. As rapidly as this whirlwind evolves, it disappears into thin air, and the cycle begins once again.

Brimstone

A flame ignites and is pulled in opposing directions until it combusts, spitting hot fire.

Fireworks

Glowing embers leap and twirl in this inferno. Flickering sparks light the night sky.

Fireworks

Glowing embers leap and twirl in this inferno. Flickering sparks light the night sky.

Votive

Out of the smoldering darkness, a dreamy light flickers with a mysterious allure, both innocently soothing and intoxicatingly dangerous. Be careful… come too close and this spark could ignite.

Embers to Eruption

Fire is sometimes flirtatious and playful, but it quickly evolves into passion and anger.

Burning Heart

There is anger on his lips. Burned bridges. Hearts on fire.

Rejuvenate

Often stricken by drought for months on end, a village celebrates the arrival of clouds and the anticipation of rain.

Monsoons in Mumbai

When the rains are light, children enjoy splashing in puddles, but when the skies open up and water levels reach all-time highs, the city is overwhelmed as despair floods through the streets.

Down to the River

From the heart, a wailing and pensive reflection through American heartland folk.

Two Streams

A dam is erected in the state of Gujarat. One family rejoices in revitalized land. The other is crippled by inevitable deluge.

Tremors

Mother Nature’s violent expression causes widespread devastation in Nepal. From afar, a man calls out to family.

Battle of Beats

She is graceful, grounded with understated power. He is regal, refined with self-assured pride. But today, the two orbits collide in a battle for turf; who will emerge  victorious?

Rhythms of the south

Grounded in percussion-heavy beats and high-energy dance, a celebration of Mother Earth stems beneath our feet.

A Year Without Rain

Often stricken by drought for months on end, a village celebrates the arrival of clouds and the anticipation of rain. A classic Bollywood number evoking Indian folk melodies.
