Ameya started dancing in cultural shows as a child at the request of his mother, but his passion for dance didn’t truly begin until college. At the University of Pennsylvania, Ameya joined the all-male fusion dance troupe Penn Dhamaka, eventually becoming a choreographer and Chair of the team. Through participating in national competitions, traveling to dance exhibitions, and performing in Dhamaka’s annual show each year, he has cultivated his dancing talent and picked up some life skills along the way. Ameya currently lives in Arlington and works as a business consultant at data analytics firm Applied Predictive Technologies. Outside of dancing, Ameya enjoys playing ping pong, poker, and golf (well, attempting to play golf).
