Legend has it that Seethal was dancing before she could even walk. She trained in the Indian classical style of Bharat Natyam for 13 years, where she learned how to balance precise rhythms and crisp movements with expressive performance. Her love for dance led her to study belly dance for five years, lyrical jazz for two years, and to dabble in ballet, tap, hip hop, and Latin dancing. In college, Seethal performed and competed nationally with Northwestern Bhangra for four years and with the all-girl fusion team Northwestern Mirch Masala for one year, and was a Latin dancer with the BLAST Performance Company for two years. Seethal has taught Bollywood and belly dance classes for more than four years and has choreographed and performed belly dance in DC metropolitan area with Born2Dance’s Nejoom Dance Company. When she is not dancing, she enjoys singing Broadway songs, traveling, and practicing foreign languages.
